Love People. Love Pets. Meet the team that makes it real.

At Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and Emergency Center, advanced care is not limited to one doctor or one location. It is built around a connected team, shared expertise, and access to the right care at the right time.

That includes veterinarians like Dr. Stahl at our sister hospital, Town and Country Animal Hospital, who brings a special focus on one of the most impactful procedures for certain breeds, BOAS surgery.

Meet Dr. Stahl

Dr. Stahl’s path to veterinary medicine is anything but typical.

After graduating from Dartmouth College, where she played collegiate lacrosse, she explored careers in finance and even spent four years in the Caribbean running a charter boat as a captain, chef, and divemaster.

But the goal never changed, helping animals.

Today, she is an associate veterinarian at Town and Country Animal Hospital, practicing general medicine, urgent care, and surgery, with a passion for procedures that create immediate, meaningful improvement in a pet’s life.

BOAS Surgery, A Life Changing Difference

Dr. Stahl has developed a strong interest in treating Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome, commonly known as Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome, or BOAS.

This condition affects flat faced breeds like:

  • French Bulldogs
  • Bulldogs
  • Pugs

Dogs with BOAS often struggle with:

  • Noisy breathing
  • Exercise intolerance
  • Overheating
  • Difficulty recovering after activity
  • In severe cases, respiratory distress

For many families, these symptoms are often accepted as “normal for the breed.”

They are not.

Learn more about BOAS surgery and how it helps here:

BOAS surgery corrects structural airway issues, allowing pets to breathe more easily and live more comfortably.

And the results can be immediate.

Better airflow.
More energy.
Less stress on the body.
A significantly improved quality of life.

Dr. Stahl is especially passionate about these procedures because of how quickly you can see the difference.

Why Expertise Matters

BOAS surgery is not just routine surgery. It requires:

  • Careful patient selection
  • Skilled surgical technique
  • Close monitoring before, during, and after the procedure

Through our sister hospital network, patients benefit from coordinated care, from initial evaluation to surgery to recovery and, if needed, emergency support.

The Power of Our Sister Hospitals

One of the biggest advantages of choosing Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and Emergency Center is access to a fully connected network of care across three locations.

Our sister hospitals include:

  • Town and Country Animal Hospital, a full service general practice and Fear Free Certified Veterinary Practice
  • Animal Clinic of Clifton, a community focused general practice with personalized care and convenient access for Clifton families
  • Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and Emergency Center, a 24/7 emergency and advanced care hospital

Together, these hospitals operate as one connected system, not separate clinics.

That means your pet benefits from:

Shared Medical Records
Every visit, every note, every diagnostic is instantly available across all three hospitals. No repeating history. No delays.

Doctor to Doctor Collaboration
Our veterinarians communicate directly. Whether it is Dr. Stahl performing BOAS surgery or a follow up visit at another location, your care team stays aligned.

Access to the Right Level of Care
Routine care at Animal Clinic of Clifton or Town and Country. Advanced procedures like BOAS surgery with experienced doctors. Emergency care at Columbia Pike. All within the same network.

Seamless Transitions Between Locations
Start at one hospital, continue at another, and follow up where it is most convenient. Your care never resets.

24/7 Emergency Support
Columbia Pike is always open. If your pet needs urgent care, your records are already here and your doctors are connected.

This is what makes our system different.

It is not just convenience.
It is better medicine.

24/7 Emergency Support, Built In

Columbia Pike Animal Hospital and Emergency Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For pets with breathing challenges like BOAS, that matters.

If your pet ever experiences respiratory distress, immediate care is available, and your records are already here.

No delays. No gaps in communication. Just fast, connected care.

Fear Free Care, Better Outcomes

Dr. Stahl also practices within a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Practice at Town and Country Animal Hospital.

That approach plays an important role, especially for pets with breathing concerns.

Fear and anxiety can make airway issues worse.

Fear Free care focuses on:

  • Reducing stress at every step
  • Using treats and positive reinforcement
  • Allowing pets to move at their own pace
  • Creating a calm, controlled environment

The result is safer handling, better exams, and a better overall experience for both pets and their families.

A Better Way to Care for Flat Faced Breeds

If you have a French Bulldog, Pug, or Bulldog, and notice signs of breathing difficulty, it is worth having a conversation.

What may seem “normal” could be something we can improve.

And in many cases, dramatically.

Experience the Difference

When you choose Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, you are choosing more than an emergency center.

You are choosing:

  • Access to surgical expertise like Dr. Stahl’s BOAS procedures
  • A connected network of sister hospitals
  • Fear Free focused care
  • 24/7 emergency support

All working together for your pet.
