Meet the Team

Dr. Aurora McKenzie is a proud DMV native; she grew up in Silver Spring, MD. Although she did not grow up with any pets of her own, Dr. McKenzie has known since her early childhood that she wanted to be a veterinarian.

Dr. Velez-Leon wanted to be a veterinarian from as early as she can remember. Growing up she would help her dad, who was a Boxer breeder, with the parturitions and puppy care.

Cami has over 17 years of veterinary practice management experience. Her passion is supporting veterinary teams who improve the "healthspan" of our furry family members, not just their lifespan. Cami has managed hospitals in Virginia, North Carolina and D.C.

Tony spent the last 19 years helping pets and people . He enjoys the outdoors when not working . His favorite thing about his job is the amazing people he gets to work along side with and the adorable pets he gets to interact with every day.

Cheryl Laughlin, LVT, is our Inventory Control Manager. A Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2002, Cheryl has been working in veterinary medicine since high school—when her parents told her she either needed to play a sport or get a job.
