Making the Most of Northern Virginia’s Pet Resources

Staff member with dog

Columbia Pike Animal Hospital has been an active participant in Northern Virginia’s growing pet community for more than 30 years. During that time, we have met so many wonderful pets and their families. We’ve also been asked for tips and suggestions about a variety of topics, ranging from dog training and pet supplies to upcoming community events for pets.

That’s why we decided to put together a collection of these resources. We wanted to provide helpful tools, as well as a place to share everything from special pet health success stories to photos of the wonderful animals that make up our Columbia Pike family. We hope you will enjoy them and perhaps even contribute your own pet’s picture as well!

Links—Here you will find some of our favorite resources. Everything from pet trainers and pet products to local rescues who may already have your new pet waiting for you!

Events calendar—Discover when local pet festivals are happening in our area. It’s a wonderful chance to get out and socialize.

Case of the month—Our pet patients are all wonderful in their own way. They are unique, interesting, and often downright inspirational. We wanted to share some of their stories with you.

Pet picture gallery—We may be a little biased, but we can’t help but notice just how adorable our pet patients are. Take a look at our gallery and see if you agree. While you’re at it, please share a picture of your pet as well. Our gallery won’t be complete without it!

Thank you paws—Has someone you know done something special for you or your pet? Show how much you appreciate him or her via this special thank you tool.

Pet adoptions—If you’re ready to add a new furry member to your family, then this is the place for you. Discover who’s waiting for you at the Fairfax shelter!

I never worry about my dog when boarding. The staff loves my dog and knows him on sight. It makes me feel so much better about leaving him when I know he is well taken care of and loved by the staff.
