Serving Northern Virginia Area Pets & Their Families
The story of Columbia Pike Animal Hospital begins with founder and practice owner, Dr. Davis Hall. Dr. Hall graduated from Texas A&M University in 1969. After serving in the military, he decided to put down roots in Virginia and begin his veterinary career.
In 1972, Dr. Hall obtained Town & Country Animal Hospital, which initially offered veterinary care for large animals as well as house pets. As the Northern Virginia suburbs grew, the need for large animal services diminished while the demand for small pet care exploded. Our pet hospital changed its focus to better accommodate the needs of our community.
In 1975, Dr. Hall opened Columbia Pike Animal Hospital, which primarily serves pet owners in Annandale and Alexandria, Virginia.
As both veterinary hospitals grew and flourished, Dr. Hall carefully recruited additional veterinarians and staff. He selected individuals who are well-educated, talented at what they do, and who share the same sense of commitment and dedication to the pets we treat—as well as the humans who love them. In addition, each new veterinarian has brought his or her own areas of focus and expertise, enabling us to continually expand the veterinary services we offer.
Dr. Hall’s son, Dr. Reed Hall, joined our hospital family in 1996. We now have more than a dozen talented veterinarians and over 100 extremely dedicated staff members who are ready and able to care for your pet(s)!
Our growth hasn’t just been limited to people. As advancements in veterinary diagnostics and surgical care have taken place, we have continually updated our hospitals to ensure that pet patients receive only the highest quality of care.
Columbia Pike Animal Hospital moved into a new state-of-the-art building in 1996. Since that time, we have remodeled our kennel facilities there in order to provide special double-size runs and other elements to enhance the comfort of our pet guests.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We look forward to providing you and your pet with outstanding service and veterinary care!
I never worry about my dog when boarding. The staff loves my dog and knows him on sight. It makes me feel so much better about leaving him when I know he is well taken care of and loved by the staff.
